We were never told why they were doing it , we can only guess at this point in time , and our guess is , we DARED to suggest that the Correctional Officers go with Commercial Vehicle Informant Officers. This was done for two reasons , 1) A majority of the Officers asked that they be moved there , 2) It was obvious that the only way the Officers could get the Money they were looking for was by moving to that Union. Considering this , we can understand why CUPE would get pissed off at the prospect of losing Members , but THAT was the WILL of those members. Now saying all this I doubt they will use that as their reason. There was an organized effort to discredit the executive by a few members in Moncton and Miramichi we strongly suspect Danny Legere was behind it , he has been very upset about being pressured to step down as President of CUPE 1251 , and being President of CUPE NB , and being a Member of the National Executive Board AND National President Paul Moist's buddy , he certainly had the means and the motive do get this done. The complaints and the names of those who complained will be posted shortly. |
