As you can see CUPE National can't even follow thier own rules:
7.8
(a) In cases of emergency and having received substantive evidence from members of a chartered organization that it would be in the best interests of the chartered organization of the Canadian Union of Public Employees that immediate action be taken, the National President may place a chartered organization under an administrator who shall forthwith exercise the authority and carry out the functions set out hereunder. Such action by the National President shall be considered by the National Executive Committee within 14 days. The President and Secretary-Treasurer of the chartered organization shall receive notice of the decision of the National Executive Committee.
c) The action of the National President and the decision of the National Executive Committee thereon shall be subject to review by the National Executive Board at its following meeting. The chartered organization shall receive notice of the place and date of such meeting not less than 7 days before such date and the officers and other members of the executive board of the chartered organization or any of them shall, if they so request, be given every reasonable opportunity to make representations to the said meeting of the National Executive Board.
As far as we know:
1) NO ONE but the 2 names in this document received notice ,
2) the Document is dated March 14th it was received the 18th at noon giving us 24 hours to find a way to get to Ottawa NOT the 7 DAYS in the above article.
3) We can't defend ourselves cause we have NO IDEA of WHY we are under administration
4) The above article states "officers and other members of the executive board of the chartered organization or any of them shall, if they so request, be given every reasonable opportunity to make representations to the said meeting of the National Executive Board" How do they expect the members to make it to Ottawa ?
Only after loud objection did they back off , so now ... we have NO idea when it will be brought up again ... UNREAL Also if you read the FIRST paragraph it's clear that the National Executive board had made it's Decision (Danny Legere is part of that Board) BUT in the second paragraph it says we have the right to make representation when they review the decision , that's bit confusing lol you think you could defend yourself BEFORE the decision was MADE
